30 Animal Grappling Solo Drills in 7 Minutes

Jason Scully is a renowned Black Belt in the JIu Jitsu community. He has released tons of extremely popular videos on YouTube giving out grappling drills, tips, techniques, and more! Here, he shows us 30 different “animal” type grappling drills you can do by yourself to work on your grappling game. I’ll definitely be working on some of these.

For those of you that are 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Van Nuys students, you may recognize quite a few of these drills from our warm ups. Great drills that will really help you on the mats =)

This Month at 10th Planet Van Nuys! Darce Chokes!

In this video, from Submissions 101, we’re shown the basic Darce Choke.

The Darce Choke is a blood choke in Nogi grappling often hit from side control, turtle, or even the Half Guard position. This is an extremely effective choke for Nogi Competition, MMA, and Submission Wrestling.

I  personally love this move and all of the attacks off of it (Ninja Choke, Guillotine, etc.).

This month at 10th Planet Van Nuys, we’ll be covering the Darce Choke, Anaconda Choke, Japanese Necktie, and plenty of other variations! Come down to 10th Planet Van Nuys and check out a class! See you on the mats! 😉

David Hah is a 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Blue Belt under Alder Hampel as well as an Amateur Mixed Martial Artist. I train with him on a regular basis and he’s an absolute beast! Feel free to check out his blog and keep up with him.

Also, remember, if you ever thought about training in Jiu Jitsu in the San Fernando Valley, feel free to come down to 10th Planet Van Nuys to try out a class 😉
