TUF 14 Season Finale Recap

After an awesome season of the UFCs hit show, “The Ultimate Fighter: Season 14 Team Bisping vs Team Miller,” the show came to a finish with the finale on December 3rd live at the Palms in Las Vegas.
Everyone from the season was scheduled to fight at the final show along with obviously the finalists fight, and of course the showdown between coaches Michael “The Count” Bisping and Jason “Mayhem” Miller.
Bantamweight John Dodson, with Greg Jackson in his corner, defeated TJ Dillashaw via TKO in round 1. Also with a round one finish, Featherweight Diego Brandao armbarred incredible wrestler Dennis Bermudez after an amazing back and forth exchange.
Bisping and Miller was a highly anticipated match up by much of the MMA world. Mayhem was obviously the crowd favorite as shown by the boos at the weigh ins when Bisping was introduced. After witnessing all the bad blood between the two coaches during the show, we all knew when they met in the octagon, there would be fireworks.
However, after a fairly even round 1, the fight started to turn extremely one sided. With years of ring rust on Mayhem Miller, many thought the time off would be a huge factor. And they were right.
As the second round started, Mayhem began to show signs of extreme fatigue already. He need to open his mouth several times to take in huge gasps of air while Bisping continued to pick him apart on the feet with crisp boxing combinations.
Finally Bisping ground and pounded Mayhem with knees to the body and an onslaught of punches till an eventual TKO stoppage.
My favorite fight of the night wasn’t even the main event or the fights of finalists, although the Brandao vs Bermudezs’ fight was a close second. Tony Ferguson, season 13 TUF winner squared off with UFC veteran Yves Edwards in an incredible stand up battle with Ferguson winning a UD.
Another incredible night of fights for UFC fans. Only one more week till UFC 140!!
